Tacoma is also free! On Humble Bundle! But you need to be subscribed to their newsletter! Until March 24, 10AM Pacific time!

This time it is not a Steam-Key.
You download the full game either directly or via Torrent -- the game is in a .zip file worth 2.59 GB
(Humble Bundle did the same for "Outcast - Second Contact" months ago, if you remember)

Apparently, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is being given away for its 25th anniversary.
And apparently you do not get a Steam-Key.
Instead, you must use Bethesda's own launcher. Which you must download. You also need a valid Bethesda.net user account in order to use the launcher.
Apparently it is all true... but for some reason the service is not working well. It may take you many an attempt and some patience before you can claim your free copy of the game.
Me, I am not interested. No idea whether strings are attached to this; I just dislike the idea of having to use yet another launcher/platform to access a game. I pass.

For those interested, head over here:
https://elderscrolls.bethesda.net/en/tes25
VALID TODAY ONLY ! (apparently)

I snagged it for later, but I'm not very happy about them not providing a steam key for it.

This is part of a detach-from-Steam program enacted by Bethesda.
It started with the mods on the Creation Club (primarily to ditch the Steam Workshop, not just the Nexus).
It is continuing with a launcher of their own -- which does not hold a candle to Steam  yet.

Anyhow, MINOR UPDATE:
The free givaway of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is extended to March, 31st.

Ubisoft is offering Assassin's Creed Unity for free for the next week.

This is one of the last good AC games imo.
I didn't like the London one, and the Greek and Egyptian ones were based on leveled enemies which was crap.

Paris was buggy as hell, but still played pretty well.
