Hi! Iwanted to know if some of this "space related" features will be added in the game. It would be a great thing to fly through Nebulas or try to avoid star systems swallowed by black holes!
This is something that might be cool to see in the game!
Here's an example of what I mean: (sorry for the huge [but beautiful ] pictures)
I think this will add a lot of interesting stuff in the game and make the universe full of colors al light.
Also: have you thought about making the Asteroids/Planets orbitate around a star? It would be a realistic feature too!
Hope my ideas and suggestions will make everyone happy!

Re: Nebulas, Black Holes and other "galactic things"
Phenomena such as black holes and nebulae would up the realism and wonder quotient in the game for certain!
As far as black holes however, Josh has already eliminated the idea of putting supermassive black holes at the center of galaxies as too ambitious an undertaking. It thus appears that black hole implementation within Limit Theory will have to wait for a future release.

I know not what life is, nor death.
Year in year out-all but a dream.
Both Heaven and Hell are left behind;
I stand in the moonlit dawn,
Free from clouds of attachment.

super black holes would be a lot to achieve, maybe later, or a sequel

Re: Nebulas, Black Holes and other "galactic things"
Don’t forget about local smaller objects like asteroid belts, ort clouds, gas giants and many moons. Terrestrial planets ranging above and beyond mercury, Venus earth and mars. Planet hunting scientists have spotted terrestrial planets at least 4 times bigger than the earth and gas giants that make Jupiter seem small.
Sum plaints are in ridiculous eccentric and or extreme orbit such as far to close to suns or completely randomized orbits because of multiple stars. Primer binary and tri systems (that’s multiple stars in the same system) binaries are fairly common
Perhaps even massive abandoned constructs left behind by some forgotten race
(E.g. those left by the ancients from star gate, the forerunners from halo and the Prometheans from mass effect)
Basically fill those star systems with every thing known to science and conceived by science fiction (that can be procedurely be generated of course)
These such things haven’t bin mentioned any where as far as I know

My idea is to fill the universe with all the things mentioned to make it more interesting and so any player can be stunned from everything he sees but on the other hand don't fill it too much to give the player overload of things to see. You should try to make your universe always interesting, comfortable for the player and not boring, that's my advice!

Re: Nebulas, Black Holes and other "galactic things"
I agree that finding ancent relics like rhe forerunner Dyson rings and similar technologies would be cool. the universe ins a massive place (goes without saying) and so even if there were hundreds of these you might only encounter 1-2 in several hundred hours of game-play so while there may be many of them out there finding each one would be a unique and wonderful experience. and while black holes and Massive black holes are not slatd for LT1's future there are wormholes on the list and that leads me to believe that theres hope for some really unique possibilities. though the wormholes being uncontrollable is some what lack luster. i would be more inclined to invest in them if you could say build 2 gateways where you wanted them and improve the odds of them connecting as opposed to having no chance at all of it takign you where you wanted to go. also if memory serves me correctly worm holse are notoriously finicky and prone to colase. i wouldn't be surprised if you take a trip in one and be stranded voyager style XD.
If I've rambled and gone off topic im sorry but i tend to be long winded as you might notice if you stumble across my other post XD. thanks for reading.

Re: Nebulas, Black Holes and other "galactic things"
I am not sure if all these are planned as of yet. I remember reading something about wormholes earlier. I am interested in seeing gas giants planets along with terrestrial ones, etc. Also possibly different classes of star systems, such as binary, and maybe if it is not too much eventually pulsars and all the other more specific galatic occurences.

I will certainly vote For the implemantation of astronomical objects.
There are some realy amazing structures out there, which could
enhance the overall gaming pleasure.
Maybe in LT part 2 or 3?

How about pulsars/neutron stars?

Wormholes
Wormholes could be used to go from end of the unvierse to another

Finding relics of lost civilisations, relics from forgotten wars, past encounters, exploration/colonisation attempts, etc, would be Epic [wish i could find more in Freelancer]
Re: Nebulas, Black Holes and other "galactic things"
Technically, they're Micro-planet rings, capable of eliminating all life capable of sentience in the galaxy [when all 7 are fired simultaneously], although the Forerunners also created Dyson Sphere-Worlds, Whole suns encased in a Slipspace bubble the size of a planet, along with life seeded all throughout the inner surface of the sphere, But i understand your point.Dadalos wrote:I agree that finding ancient relics like the forerunner Dyson rings and similar technologies would be cool.
