Edit: And what's superb is that your work is followed by Harmonic Universe by Josh.

I certainly did like it, Dinosawer.Dinosawer wrote: Another weekend, another song! A cover this time, no composition of mine. The Drunken Sailor/The Islay Ranter's Reel, a merging of two folk songs. Guitar and harmonica. Hope you like it

Re: LT forum ART and Hobby Center
Hey Dio, cool picture, it surely has some kind of LT spirit, I believe its due to nebula and asteroids
But I cant really understand what is in the middle with green lenses, is it ship?
Some close-up render would be cool
And I dont think that this forum corner is lonesome

And who told you this is a lonesome place? This place is reserved for those who are creative and appreciate the finer things in life. Thank you for your contribution to the LT forums it is very much appreciated.

I like it, Dio. Your work starts with one advantage, I like the colour. My thoughts then tend to be similar to those of Shuul.Dio The Creative wrote:My topic was deleted and moved here, fine I shall reside in this lonesome place in the forums... As for your picture, I think it's a great start, but the composition is a little weak, lacking stronger features or elements to capture and direct your audience's gaze. Unfortunately at the moment it's all a little same-y.
My advice would be to try to add some foreground elements like asteroid bases or ships investigating the field to draw the eye.
Hope that helps.
Cheers
Re: Some art.
Sorry, I merged your posts into the existing art thread. Easier to collect all of the art appreciation into one place rather than have the attention split between multiple redundant threads.Dio The Creative wrote:My topic was deleted and moved here, fine I shall reside in this lonesome place in the forums... I guess if you guys are here it won't feel lonely.
Here is a close up, they are just pixel ships.
Fear maybe? It's not too bad here, so here I shall stay

Thanks. I focused on the asteroids and clouds, this is using a new technique I discovered a few days ago.Just_Ice_au wrote:Sorry, I merged your posts into the existing art thread. Very nice, Dio! I agree with everyone else's sentiments - it would be great if you made visible ships, or a station, or something to draw the viewer's attention that the viewer could actually examine. Apart from that, excellent work! Would love to see more of your work in the future, too.

Re: LT forum ART and Hobby Center
I have another fan art, it is one of my ships flying through the LT universe Enjoy.
I am really bad with 2D ships, so I used a rendered 3D ship I made and put it into this image. First time I did that, so it probably could use some improvement.

Re: LT forum ART and Hobby Center
Some info, the ship is a highly advanced scout ship. It is filled with many various advance info gathering systems, with it's systems it can scan deep into space or into the depths of a rock or far out into any cloud or nebula. It uses lots of energy making it quite visible in some scenarios, however if you can see it it probably already knows where you are. Because it sometimes lack stealth (It can be very stealthy if it wants too) it usually travels with an escort of 3 to 9 fighters. It also has the ability to jump between systems and jump the smaller fighters around it as well. (kind of like the warp rails)

Since this is anything and everything I can post this here, I had Planetary Annihilation in mind when making this. Experimenting with explosions

Nice!
Just one thing: those lens flare diffraction spike thingies look odd to me because in real life they're always perfectly symmetrical (so you can have 2, 4, 6, ... But not 3)

Those scenes were taken with an alien camera. They work differently...
