Oh yes Sly! It has had its ups and downs but it is now hard wired into my brain circuits. Saturday, early evening on the BBC, was reserved for Dr Who. The good Doctor has entertained me through many years. :)

That would be awesome!
This. With all that talk about Freelancer I'd be surprised if there's not a single reference about them (other than the game's mechanics, of course!)

OK, how's this for an Easter Egg, United Planets Cruiser C57-D. The star ship that went to Altair VI looking for the lost colonists in Forbidden Planet.
Or if you're an old fart like me, the Fireball XL5. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fireball_XL5 : http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi2018443801/
Cowards die many times before their deaths, the valiant never taste of death but once. Of all the wonders that I have seen, it seem to me most strange, that men should fear, seeing that death, a necessary end, will come when it will come.

I am of your generation Gunther and, being a bit sad, I have been a Gerry Anderson fan since Supercar. I can think of many spaceships from the various series which would make awesome easter eggs but Fireball XL5 is so iconic it would be perfect.
Did you see this Gunther? Some excellent CAD work on Fireball XL5 from a few years ago:

Nope, never saw this before. Thanks for sharing. I haven't seen a episode in almost 50 years since the show ran on NBC from '63 to '65. I just remember that it was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid. I was 6 to 8 when it aired.
