I was rather keen on the theme to a television series that was cancelled rather suddenly back in the 80's. I liked expensive motorcycles at the time.
The man ... the machine...
Not Tangerine Dream playing but I like the work that Kebu does on this cover.

Re: Music!
Ooh, well ambient and electronic music are things that really fit the sci-fi setting I think. I also like trip-hop and electroswing.
I love to listen to:
LFO
Massive Attack
Aphex Twin
Juno Reactor
Nujabes
Daft Punk
H.U.V.A. Network
Royksopp
Portishead
and a bunch of other stuff, but get started there first

Re: Music!
Scenic World (Second Version) by Beirut.
Don't listen to the original version because it sounds like elevator music.

Re: Music!
I've been spreading this around a lot, but Ott's new album Fairchildren is great. It's at least on par with Skylon, in my humble opinion.

Hmm...I think I prefer Ellie Goulding doing her Fifty Shades of Grey stuff, Lum. What do you think, Josh?Lum wrote:I've just found this procedural music generator...

Re: Music!
I can't stop listening to this guitar version of Misirlou today. By the same guy who did that version of Thunderstruck.
Warning: do not ask about physics unless you really want to know about physics.

Re: Music!
My local classical music station's website. They allow live streaming from the website, which is good since I can't play the radio and a video game at the same time.
They have some TRULY epic stuff, and are playing Christmas classics right now.
Oh, and did I mention that there are almost NO commercials? They are listener supported and the announcer voice sometimes gives a shout out to whatever company is supporting them most for this hour, and every once in a while they to a fundraiser drive, but most of the time, it's just music music music.
They also play bouncy tunes on early Saturday mornings and jokingly tell you to turn up the volume to wake up the rest of the house with an earful of classical music.
I may have taken that advice once or twice in the past...

P.S. I just noticed that the squirrel's eye twitches sometimes.
