Hello all,
It may seen like, "oh this guy is crazy, he HAS to have a graphics card on his computer, or else it wouldn't work", but I was wondering, in the future, I want to make a Raspberry Pi, cluster/supercomputer, and was wondering if it were to be possible to run LT on it.

Re: LT without a Graphics card
Minecraft works on the Raspberry Pi, but it's modified.
That's about all I can tell you about playing games on one.

Re: LT without a Graphics card
As long as you can emulate the shaders for all the computations, then it should be fine.

Re: LT without a Graphics card
I don't really know anything about playing games without a graphics card
If it supports the right version of GL and GLSL, then I guess it won't be a problem..? (GL 2+, GLSL 1.2)

Re: LT without a Graphics card
RaspberryPi supports Opengl ES, the chance of it running LT is non-zero.
woops, my bad, everything & anything actually means specific and conformed

Re: LT without a Graphics card
The Raspberry Pi does have an integrated GPU. It is a Broadcom VideoCore 4 and it supports OpenGL ES 2.0. I seriously doubt Limit Theory will run on an ES device... well MAYBE an ES 3.0 one.

Re: LT without a Graphics card
Hard to say, I think LT is using glsl 3.0 and if I recall ES 2.0 uses a version like 1.4 still.

Re: LT without a Graphics card
With all these suggestions of running on a Rasberry Pi I'm starting to believe that LT will run on a toaster as well.
In all seriousness though the more hardware it supports the better off for the whole LT community.
Now to dig out my netbook and prepare it to run LT...

Uhm, Josh answered that question three posts above yours:Katawa wrote:Hard to say, I think LT is using glsl 3.0 and if I recall ES 2.0 uses a version like 1.4 still.

Re: LT without a Graphics card
I never understood the appeal of running the latest and greatest on the oldest/weakest hardware you can find.
What would be the point of running LT on a RasPi? Bragging rights? We're not much of a hacker forum here; you'd be better off getting ideas/praise/kudos from a place like hackaday.

Re: LT without a Graphics card
To be fair, Slymodi was planning on a cluster of RPis, which should have fairly decent power for running the game (except for the unknown graphics capability).DWMagus wrote:What would be the point of running LT on a RasPi?

Except for the non-ability of LT to run on distributed systems....Commander McLane wrote:To be fair, Slymodi was planning on a cluster of RPis, which should have fairly decent power for running the game (except for the unknown graphics capability).DWMagus wrote:What would be the point of running LT on a RasPi?

Re: LT without a Graphics card
This. I mean why would you? I intend running LT on the best gaming rig I can put together. I am thankful that Josh is making a game that can be run on lesser hardware but I want to turn up everything to maximum on my rig and be blown away by the whole experience.DWMagus wrote:I never understood the appeal of running the latest and greatest on the oldest/weakest hardware you can find.

Yeh, don't make Graphics Josh angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry.
There is no "I" in Tea. That would be gross.

Spot on Gazz!
It would mortify me if I were a developer with a passion and talent for graphics if I had to read a thread like this.
