"Come on Squidhead, move! Those wrecks aren't gonna examine themselves!
Payback, if you're going on foot, hop on to my CASKET, that'll be faster."

I'll stop and wait for Payback to hop on if he wants to.
Then, I'll drive full speed ahead to the wreck site.
When I get there, I'll have a good look around.
When I spot enemies/turrets/stuff like that:
-shoot one with my electrolaser while shouting "BONSAAAIII"
-shoot one with my quantum cannon
If there are no enemies in sight:
-I'll get out of my casket
-Try my rocket boots by rocket-dashing to the nearest wreck
-examine it closely
-And I'll scan a damage spot on it with my PDA.

When shot at:
-I'll dodge by doing a small rcs-assisted sideways hop.

What a gorgeous planet!
"I really like it here!"
"Nice treads you two."

Hop on Dino's CASKET.
Keep an eye out for enemies all around.

If enemies seen:
- Alert the team
- Ask Dino for orders
Else if Enemies see us:
- Fire Gauss Rifle at closest enemy

Send the results of the scan over to Hema.

Place the Pinwheel into the ground.

Lob an explosive bolt at the structure in irritation.

Get back into the CASKET.

((And here I thought we had an infinite supply of Crossbow Bolts. :ghost: ))

((Next time I'll clarify, when I said to make cover, I meant to make something like this:
Spoiler:      SHOW

and offset it several times until the holes got mostly covered. :ghost: ))
Image The results of logic, of natural progression? Boring! An expected result? Dull! An obvious next step? Pfui! Where is the fun in that? A dream may soothe, but our nightmares make us run!

Triggerhappy wrote:"Should we disable the shield and any turrets we see while we are at it?"
"I would avoid disabling the shields right now. We don't know what that will do, and I think it's best to be on the safe side and leave it where it is. If you have to disable them to loot the thing, go ahead. But only if there's a way for you to get inside the structure.
As for the turrets, please disable them as you find them. If you can bring one back, that's even better."

"Thank you, Dak. I'm coming with you to the caves. I expect Servius to come too. Once there, we should land and get out, and then proceed a little ways on foot. Be sure to stay in cover, and have a weapon at the ready. As for the scans, I haven't made any yet. Also, we do have other options. We can leave and forget about the cave. Perhaps join up with the other squads."

Fly over to the cave
and try to use my CASKET's scanner to determine the depth, and contents of it
If there are any noticeable problems with the scanner
-cancel the scan immediately
After scanning, land my casket,
Get out
Find cover and load a sticky/explosive crossbow bolt
Proceed down into the cave
and stay in cover as much as possible.
If any enemies are seen
-fire at them once, and get down into cover

"Well, it looks like this is pretty important. If we leave this, we might have to come back eventually. I'd only go somewhere else first if we detect way too many enemies to fight...but we haven't found anything hostile. Yet."

Land my casket
Find cover and ready my ElectroRifle
Move to the mouth of the cave slowly and while checking my surroundings with the VISION helm
Follow Hema's lead and stay in cover as much as possible
IF any enemies are seen:
-Take cover(if not in cover)
-Let the rest of the squad know
-Fire one STUN shot with the electrorifle (uses 1/3 of its power)
-Switch to the gauss rifle
-Fire twice at the same enemy. (for a maximum of 3 total attacks)

IF there are no enemies seen or reported by the squad:
-Continue moving from cover to cover while in the cave and listening carefully to the VISION helm microphones
-Keep up a pace that matches Hema's so that we don't get too far apart or clustered together.

Turn CASKET to face Dinosawer etc.

"You guys are going that way? I don't want to see dead team mates."

Turn 72 degrees anti-clockwise. Roughly.
Head in a straight line in that direction, avoiding obstacles.

((EDIT - In non-Francis terms: head to the objective. ))

"We're all going on a... Sitatha holiday."

If Francis sees something shiny or otherwise interesting on the way:
-stop near it.
Games I like, in order of how much I like them. (Now permanent and updated regularly!)

((LOL, I didn't even think about the roll for diagnostics. GG))

Move over to near the cave entrance
Land my CASKET and get out
Follow behind Hema and Dak, Riot Shield rasied
Keep an eye on my surroundings using VISION helm
IF enemies are encountered
-Get into cover
-Report enemy locations and fire capabilities
-Close the distance between myself and the enemy using cover to advance safely
-Stop advancing if unsafe or lack cover
-IF enemy is within 5m
--Fire my Gravitic Shotgun with Riot Shield raised
-IF enemy is within sword range
--Swap to Electron Sword
--Slash quickly at the enemy, preferably toward any immediately noticeable weak points.

IF no enemies encountered
-Maintain a tactical spread with the Squad
-Watch my surroundings
-Report anything suspicious

"Hey, Dino, maybe these domes are some kind of jamming field. I've noticed that we can communicate just fine between ourselves inside, but not with Kalla, who I'm guessing landed outside the dome. What do you think?"

Continue cautiously following Dino.
Watch for enemies.
If enemies are spotted:
-try to take cover
-then, attempt to fry them with the electrolaser
If wrecks or other anomalies are spotted:
-alert the others
-attempt to use the CASKET sensors to scan them and their surroundings from a distance
Try to see if my weird alien-halo-vision thing can allow me to spot something.

"Either that or they actually managed to hit near the intended drop point somehow. Hopefully that's the case, it'll be a pain to link up with them otherwise.

And remembering the briefing, I do believe that SCAMPS mentioned the comms from the poor saps they sent before us being choppy and distorted. All this together makes the prospect that they're jammers more likely. Hopefully that's all they are..."
