You can't magically compress antimatter, just like you can't magically compress matter.Triggerhappy wrote:

Also, why the hell would you store 400 000 000 000 times the yearly energy budget of an entire planet on a single orbital station?
Dinosawer wrote:No. That's not big guns, that's the energy output of an entire star of a week. That's just ridiculous.
And...Because I'm a physicist and the properties of antimatter are well known?

Plus, while Sawer is right, to actually just destroy the planet, you only need to seriously disturb the hydro-static equilibrium of the crust (if it still has a hot core)
So it would be possible to make a planet uninhabitable with only a few thousand tons of Antimatter. :V
Or... you could just drop a few hundred tons of nuclear warhead, that'd leave it uninhabitable for a few thousand years.
You're better off using a Strangelet bomb.Triggerhappy wrote:Silverware wrote:Then I highly recommend that you do not include it in your plots.

My assuption was that antimatter and matter react and produce energy. (As far as I know thats what happens )
Now that I checked, it seems the opinions are, in fact, divided half/half...
