Hey guys, some of you in IRC already saw this one.
A recent conversation got me interested in trends and correlations regarding who pays for a date, so I've made a very short survey and I'd appreciate the wider sample group that frequents here!
Interesting results. over 70% believe it should be evenly split, women are more inclined than men to think it should be evenly split rather than men paying, and pretty much no one thinks women should pay.
Sounds to me like this is a shorthand to saying egalitarian feminism is about 75% towards its goal.
I actually expected this outcome. My hypothesis was particularly regarding women being more inclined to the more 'liberal' idea of splitting while men more so retaining cultural expectations.
Feminism is not egalitarianism precisely because it only focuses on women's right advancement to meet that of men's.
Egalitarian feminism is saying you while you only advance women's rights to achieve equality, you also advance everyone's rights to achieve equality. An oxymoron.

Ah yes, advancing women's rights where they are different from men's rights to make sure everyone has equal rights is not a part of making sure everyone has equal rights. Yes. Makes total sense

Okay, it's not quite oxymoronic, but it's certainly redundant.
It sounds like a "North North West" kind of thing; "I'm an egalitarian but I'm mostly just focused on women's rights". It just sounds fucking weird imho.

Redundant is the opposite of an oxymoron, though
It's mostly used because 'feminism' makes some people think of the vocal 'feminazi' minority and thus 'egilitarian' is added to make sure that no, we mean the reasonable type.
