it was actually this discussion that prompted me to post my drawings, I Still think they offer the best compromise, and can make the avatars somewhat timeless, in that you can come back in 20 years and won't gawk at the uncanny valley effect.

I'll get it updated right after he releases the next video. :) This month's changes are interesting - people are noticeably more excited about the graphics than they were the month before, and the same goes for the AI and Building/Research. This implies that the dev videos have a strong effect on what people are excited about on a month-to-month basis, which kind of makes sense.
