One of the funny things about the MB system is that, because it's an all-encompassing classification system, a poor explainer of it can make people feel like something's wonky if they don't fit neatly into that system -- either the system is broken, or they are.

I think the opposite's true. For one, the MB is just a collection of patterns that emerge when you look at the behavioral preferences of a lot of people. But individual human beings are capable of a much wider span of behavioral choices than those typical of any aggregate pattern. So MB isn't "broken" just because one individual is capable of transcending it.

Furthermore, I don't believe it's a disadvantage to span two or more of the 16 MB styles -- just the opposite, actually. Being able to access the gifts of both iNtuition and Sensing could be a real benefit in a complex world that frequently asks us to adapt to unexpected circumstances.

If you feel like you don't "fit" some model like the MB, count yourself lucky. :)

Oh believe me, I am a broken man. :lol:
You'll fit right in here. :)

I used to be THAT guy in school who didn't talk too much and was thought to be ready to snap at any moment :D Now I'm just plain crazy...but outgoing about it :ghost:
So... you snapped? :lol:

Flatfingers wrote:At 141 votes, let's look at how the temperaments have been represented here over time.

Following my methodology that aligns temperaments with the Bartle Types, and rounding the percentages for clarity:
  • SP Artisan (the Manipulator): 16%
  • SJ Guardian (the Achiever): 17%
  • NT Rational (the Explorer): 45%
  • NF Idealist (the Socializer): 22%
I'm still not too surprised that there aren't many Artisans or Idealists here, since LT remains officially described as a single-player game without a built-in story.

And I'm still a little surprised that the SJ Guardian/Achiever numbers remain relatively low, but again I expect that to rise significantly after Limit Theory is released and the general gaming public hear about it and can play it immediately.

Meanwhile, it's still mostly NT Rationals making noise in the asylum. :geek: :P
This intrigued me, so I provided a further breakdown of everything.

Introverts: 79%
Extroverts: 21%
iNtuition: 68%
Sensing: 32%
Thinking: 71%
Feeling: 29%
Perceiving: 60%
Judging: 40%

INTP = 24% - The Thinker
INTJ = 13% - The Scientist
ISTP = 9% - The Mechanic
ISTJ = 9% - The Duty Fulfiller
INFP = 11% - The Idealist
INFJ = 6% - The Protector
ISFP = 2% - The Artist
ISFJ = 4% - The Nurturer
ENTP = 7% - The Visionary
ENTJ = 3% - The Executive
ESTP = 3% - The Doer
ESTJ = 3% - The Guardian
ENFP = 3% - The Inspirer
ENFJ = 1% - The Giver
ESFP = 1% - The Performer
ESFJ = 1% - The Caregiver

Of course, and I'm slightly put off that that's as close as I can get. :lol: There are a maximum of 20 options, so it feels like we should've been able to have all sixteen types.
