if we wanted to reclaim the resources from a ship, station, mining drone, factory, refinery, shipyard, or structures built in a colony that we don't want anymore because they're obsolete or not needed would it be possible to do so? what would we use to do this if this is possible?
will there wrecks leftover from a ship being destroyed? if so can we salvage them? what would be used to salvage them?
if we wanted to scuttle a ship because there's a powerful blueprint for a missile launcher that cant get into the wrong hands would this be possible? if so how would we do this? (self-destruct after 30 secs?))

Re: recycling/reclaiming, salvaging, scuttling
Likely possible. Use a mining laser, or any laser if you just want to scrap it entirely.jonathanredden wrote: ↑Thu Jul 27, 2017 2:34 pmif we wanted to reclaim the resources from a ship, station, mining drone, factory, refinery, shipyard, or structures built in a colony that we don't want anymore because they're obsolete or not needed would it be possible to do so? what would we use to do this if this is possible?
According to the dev videos that first question is a yes. Method would be the same answer as the previous question.jonathanredden wrote: ↑Thu Jul 27, 2017 2:34 pmwill there (be) wrecks leftover from a ship being destroyed? if so can we salvage them? what would be used to salvage them?
Um, I have no idea. Best way would be to have a ship of similar size blast it to smithereens and salvage any remaining scrap. Or find a way to detonate munitions on your own ship. That would be fun.jonathanredden wrote: ↑Thu Jul 27, 2017 2:34 pmif we wanted to scuttle a ship because there's a powerful blueprint for a missile launcher that cant get into the wrong hands would this be possible? if so how would we do this?
