The details are explained in the post Talvieno linked up there ^
Yeah, knowing a little about the technical stuff from the last posts of his.Dinosawer wrote:He's been doing work on the engine and doesn't have anything to "show" at the moment. Bit hard to show a bunch of C++ files
And he doesn't have nothing, the work he's done didn't evaporate because he didn't make a video in a year.

In fact it seems he might actually be almost finished with the re implementation judging by this post of his last monthSilverware wrote: From what I have gleaned from his posts, LT now runs significantly faster, and is significantly easier to mould into being.
Reimplementation of everything will take some time, but one done we will have *easy* access as modders to everything the game offers.

I'm more concerned about the line that says:Prack wrote:In fact it seems he might actually be almost finished with the re implementation judging by this post of his last monthSilverware wrote: From what I have gleaned from his posts, LT now runs significantly faster, and is significantly easier to mould into being.

Which means that LT is just reaching the old point where we last saw it. Assuming that Josh has it in that state by the end of this month, I have a feeling there's going to be 3 or 4 more months of development before beta hits. At least it looks like we might be able to start playing LT before 2017. I do hope we are on the home stretch at this point. It has been a long journey but at least it has generally been a pleasant one.JoshParnell wrote:I also estimate that somewhere around that time will be the crossing point where the state of the engine & game surpass the old implementation (in terms of completeness).
I'll double his offer. And add 20% extra in cat videos or porn, your choice.Silverware wrote:Well if you have, my offer to buy out your pledge will stand.WASAVA wrote:Maybe silver but if you look people like me have a reason ...is a critical situation and josh only say tha he is working but we dont see any long time ago ....this year in six months finish and this another year that we dont see any ....the people lost the faith and this is no a good point for the future projects in kickstarter ....
Honestly, if I HAD to put actual dates on estimates I would say beta late this year, full release early 2018. Remember, the beta was originally planned to be released 6 months after the prototype. That estimate was over shot by 600% so far, so just being realistic and putting peoples expectations down to ground level, 2018 for full release seems reasonable.BFett wrote:Which means that LT is just reaching the old point where we last saw it.
