Herefore I venture to postulate Parnells Law:
Every thread on the General forum will eventually end in speculation on Joshs ignorance regarding the community, often times followed by heated circular exchange of arguments up until a mod steps in and locks the thread.

I'm surprised it's lasted this long before the foot of justice comes down. :shh:

@Xephyr, you're right, those blue lasers were mesmerizing.... :geek:

Where to start... Yes, I do miss Josh. When the official Kickstarter was taking place I found his enthusiasm to be amazing, and his vision of his game universe attracted me a lot. I'm one of those guys who were addicted to games like Elite back in the eighties - games that allowed me to escape in a vast and interactive world. I am indeed looking forward to a single player universe that allows me to do whatever I want to do without the risk of being blown to bits by people who take pleasure in doing so.

Indeed, we can only speculate what happened, and while it's no pretty situation to have no communication, I believe I can perfectly find myself in what could have happened. Without being too dramatic, let's just say that I've had a couple of really rough months myself that I could only fix by taking time for myself, working hard with other people to properly be able to return to 'the real world'. Sometimes, things *can* get too much.

In any case, when I backed Limit Theory I was convinced that this game could be The One regarding insanely great space games. And at this moment, I am sure it can still be.

Josh, if you're seeing this, take the time you require to fuel up and be well. Know that the people here would love to see you return, even if that doesn't yet mean hearing a specific annoucement of a game ETA but just to say Hi and have some friendly chats.

All the best!

Some of these posts sound like eulogies. Well, we know Josh is not dead. His last login was Mon Mar 09, 2015 12:22 pm (but I'm sure I'm not the first to point that out).

Wasn't there like 500 years of silence from God before Jesus was born? Geniuses sometimes go quiet for a while before dropping their greatest work. Hopefully Josh doesn't make us wait 500 years.

It's a big game and we all anticipate it. I have a feeling that Josh is adding code to Limit Theory on a daily bases. LT is a beautiful game, and revolutionary in a way. There aren't many games that combine the best aspects of various genera and put them into one small procedurally generated package. I look forward to buying and playing Limit Theory on the day it releases. In the mean time I'll read through the old dev logs and transfer the game-play information onto the wiki.

Perhaps we are on the last leg of the race and our runner is too out of breath to speak, yet has enough energy to push towards the finish line. Just like in any race there are other competitors who are also striving for the finish. I believe that the procedural nature of LT will give Josh the speed to stay far ahead of the competition and complete the game before the others do.

Keep on running Josh, you are almost there!

I have a suggestion... Can we just go with a protocol for this thread that you just post a "+1" or "me too" to show your support for the topical point (we miss you Josh)?

While the mods might not be so quick to lock a thread that has speculation of a positive persuasion, it will inevitably be locked because there are those among us who will respond to specualtion with their own opposing (and equally valid) speculation and all the same old circular arguments will follow.

Personally I have issues with the current status of LT and Josh, but I think this thread designed to send a positive message to Josh is nice and I wouldn't want to see another thread locked because thats bad for the forums and the community.

So...

+1

Yes, i am ashamed for the moaners and mewlers too. I am ashamed for myself because i was such a mewler and moaner too. But i understand that Jush Pornell is not a bad guy, he just was very pity. From where do i know that ?

I actually got a hint from a person in twitter, he told me the true story: Jush was going to the bathroom(in his free time of the day), but he fell down the stairs, broke through the door and tumbled onto the road. Actually some gipsys came along and they took him with them as a slave(not my fault, no racist here, me just telling !!), now he sits in rumania programming pocket calculators to mix bananas.
They told him at the day washington makes reputable politics he will be free again.
So expect a little time of wait.
Poor guy he.
