Limit Theory box art

For LT discussion that doesn't fit into a more specific category.

Limit Theory box art

In the spirit of advertising Limit Theory to the world what kind of box art would get you to buy the game (or simply spike your interest)?

Here's my first try. I think I need to add ships to it.

ooh that's not a bad looking cover, though you could do without the banding and pixelation of the logo :P

That's a good idea you got there. Actually, I don't think ships is required. I always liked the clean and simple stuff, a background that hints at the vastness of LT and a simple logo.

Lol, now I want to do a cover. =P This thread is open for friendly debates on what we think would and would not constitute a good cover, right?

You bet, constructive criticism on how to make these look better is welcome too!

I'd almost forgotten the necessary artwork for the box, BFett. I doubt if Josh has given it much thought lately. This is the kind of thread which could prove helpful to the coding warrior.

 I can see merit in both the simple approach you demonstrate and the eye grabbing approach of box art similar to Freespace 2.

Definitely a worthwhile subject for the artistic types in the Community to get stuck into. :D

Hmmmm tbh, I am not sure what would grab my attention the most. Having the logo at the top, maybe a planet or something in the distance in a corner(?), but you can't really have ships in it because everything is procedural and wouldn't represent what the game is truly about. The vastness of space is always a good one.

There's always the default universe

I'd consider using something from there as common enough to be representative of the game

The default universe is the one with the seed number 42, of course. All the other Absurdillions universes are deformed copies :ghost:

I would put the Half Life 3 symbol right under it. 8-)
