Of course I do have a sharp black and white image. I also have a text file in an easier font. I even have a detailed encoding spreadsheet. And guess what? I have the unencoded text as well  :o
And here is the link... no, not yet. Seriously, you are not expecting me to hand them to you that easily, after I took all the pain to make a nice picture with nice textures making it more difficult to read, do you?

Edit: I should add, this is not impossible, like a one time pad or so. It is an algorithm that can be found if indeed you segment correctly - those aliens are aliens, but perhaps not so different 8-)

Well, I'm stumped. It seems I'm missing some vital clue to solve it. I've tried various implementations of trinary, table shifts, segmentations, cryptographic analysis and ciphers; nothing seems to remotely match up. Finding the appropriate segmentation could be possible, but is essentially trial and error. After spending a few hours of my free time on it, I think I'm just going to let it rest. Still, I had fun, so good job for that, CSE. :)

I'm liking the entry  The picture of the factory is very well done :squirrel:

As for deciphering the code thingy... Er... I've got no chance

Na, you think probably too much like a specialist, and not enough like an amateur that I am. I understand half of your words only :? But the most important word is included in your text ;)

Ok, seems I misjudged the difficulty.

As the objective is to have fun, let me put a couple of spoilers. Read only as far as you like, nobody is seeing what you click :silent:
Hint #1:
Spoiler:      SHOW
how many different type of symbols do you see?
Hint #2:
Spoiler:      SHOW
so few symbol cannot work for a message unless they are combined like bits in bytes. But how many do you need per unit? Of course I chose a total number of symbol with many dividers  so probably a little trial-and-error will be ne essary between the 2 to 4 options that make sense
Hint #3:
Spoiler:      SHOW
the alien may not be that alien and may use the most common code of our computer age?
If I may quote myself:
CSE wrote:those aliens are aliens, but perhaps not so different 8-)
Hint #4:
Spoiler:      SHOW
but the alien may be alien enough to formulate their message not in english? What language do you think a Swiss would select? (Yes, I know there are 4 correct answers  ). If I may requote myself:
CSE wrote:those aliens are aliens 8-)
and this time, alien is alien for Mr Trump :P
Hint #5:
Spoiler:      SHOW
you think the message is boring and dissapointing? Then you may have found it
Hint #6:
Spoiler:      SHOW
if those hints are not enough, then I wonder what the difficulty is, i will try to give more help tomorrow
Hint #7:
Spoiler:      SHOW
perhaps you should take a break? :monkey:

This is what I was missing. I will likely have to sit this one out. I'm not fluent enough (or at all) in any of those languages.

edit: To clarify, I did get that far. Pretty sure, anyway.
