I am trying to find Linux version of the game - with no luck.
Can somebody please help me with a download link?

Considering the game isn't finished or released I'm pretty sure that's to be expected.

there is no publicy available version of the game at the moment, the prototype patch download which you seem to have found is only an remant of the long gone prototype from may last year.

there will be an linux version of the game at release, but this will take a while.

I think that approach has been tried before, unsuccessfully I should add. However, it is good to see interest from a rare Linux user.

Mid 2014 isn't that far away - just a few months away...? Somewhere during the June - October area than?

Maybe, we don't know, neither does Josh. It will be released when it's finished.

Josh is starting to pull everything together now so it seems likely the mid-2014 release will happen on time.
