Well now I can't wait to team up with Ciri herself!

Im about 90% positive that a variation of that line appeared in the books

So unless they planned cyberpunk 2077 along with Sapowski some time in '99....

Maybe that part of Sapkowski's books is why CDPR decided to do a cyberpunk game.

From a single sentence in that book?
Thats a very forced connection.

?

It's not a "forced" anything; it's speculation that CDPR -- who obviously read Sapkowski's books -- might have found the inspiration for their next game in that section.

Could you quote the passage for us, Cornflakes? Then it might be a little easier for us to speculate on. :)

In the meantime, here's a "cooler" version:

Would have to trawl through all of "The Tower of Swallows" (or however they translated the title) again, may takes a while :ghost:

I read The Tower of Swallows, and I didn't see anything like that (or place for it to happen). I could've understood it being in The Lady of the Lake, though. Spoilers: That's when she starts dimension-hopping. Haven't finished that book yet, but I'll give a heads-up if I find anything.

Im not perfectly sure in which book it was, but as the tower is a central point for ciris capabilities i found it to be most likely to be in that book

I just realised something, and its full of witcher 1 spoilers.
Spoiler:      SHOW
before W1 and after the sapkowski books geralt was part of the dimension hopping wild hunt for a few years. Blood and wine may have been Geralt's last adventure. But there is a big chunk before the witcher games :ghost:
Make whatever you want of that information :ghost: :squirrel:

i retreat my previous statements

well... i just speed read through like half of "lady of the lake" to find the segment. seems like i was mistaken and theres only the segment in w3 that mentions an explicitly scifi environment.
probably mixed them together in my head :ghost:

*is pleased and excited* I look forward to seeing some Ciri reference then - if not Ciri herself. :)

Aw. :( Well, that makes it seem a lot less likely, then. Ah well. It doesn't really put much of a damper on my looking forward to playing it. ...I do wonder if I'd need a better computer, though.
