Arma3, Space Engineers, Skyrim.
vs
CK2, HoI4, Skyrim.

:V

Skyrim is obviously one of the most popular games released. :V

Hm, I have logged only 460 hours of Skyrim in steam.
But I did not see all of the game yet.

CIV 5 came second in the time played.

New Vegas I have played only 3 hours.. never really liked it. Too many silly slapstick jokes and a setting that was not believable. (gambling casinos in a world that can barely generate enough food to
survive just sounds stupid)
Fallout 3 on the other hand I did really enjoy...

Hmm...I started playing New Vegas some time ago. But just didn't continue playing it. What bugged me a bit was. that you could aim your weapons with the sights, but didn't hit anything with the sights. They were just rendered totally off (I think).

Hm, I dont think that the game ended up with crappy animation because of one single developer.
Looks more like they did not have to old ME2/3 team members and tech, and tried to implement a new system, that totally went sideways.

Another striking difference is the proportions of the characters, (making them look juvenile by having a small torso compared to the head).
Given the fidelity put into the assets they must have been aware of that, and did that probably on purpose. (e, dont make them look like the classic buff/tall/athletic action hero)

Not at all. I'm merely pointing to another symptom of the problem. (Generally you don't make someone the Lead if they have no experience.)
Games I like, in order of how much I like them. (Now permanent and updated regularly!)

The whole thing is crazy, because Bioware is back peddling now and claiming she was never the lead animator, despite the fact that she has openly claimed to be all along and just recently removed this fact from all her bio information.

Apparently she is some famous cosplay person without any real experience in the field of animation.

My take on this, she was never actually directly involved in any sort of animation with the game. Bioware and herself planned to keep the story going for publicity reasons. Bioware would have waved the flag of "inclusion" and she would have been a spokesperson of sorts. Basically a modern day "booth babe". It of course backfired when the animation ended up being horrible. The actual lead animation who was forced to remain hidden must be loving this. (or perhaps even intentionally did this) Though I find that unlikely.

The same thing happened with the racist lead developer. Apparently he was fired/quit over a month ago. Bioware was hopping to ride the extreme leftist train with him, but it backfired also.

So it seems Bioware/EA is more interested in playing some sort of political game than, you know, actually making games.

That "ME:A sucks because EA is trying to shake 'most hated company in America' with diversity hires" theory is definitely making the rounds.

I have suspicions but no hard facts and thus no firm opinion on that.

To the "big-heads" thing, one person seems to have found alternate character models buried in ME:A. Not only do they look vastly more normal in still frames, it seems the switch to the big-head models might account for the distortions in facial animations.
Image I don't know what, if anything, that says about EA/BioWare as a company. It's just more information.

True, the heads look unproportional to the bodies. (like an allergic reaction, or squeezing a rubber doll), especially the eyes look off.
If the actual reference head was like the pictures on the right, this will have distorted the animations.

Would be interesting if that information can be verified, or is just a done by photoshop.
