I'm really excited about this :D I didn't mind the roguelike so much, but I didn't like the sequential areas. It felt too linear, and there wasn't much point in choosing between areas even when the paths diverged because you always ended up at the same place anyway.

Heheh, it's the journey, not the destination :twisted:

I found the ability to choose was good - at later levels you'd have a vague idea of what you'd be facing and the difficulty, plus if any characters were in that area. I'd usually avoid environmental hazards if I could, simply because they were a pain in the backside. :squirrel:
