The game is inspired by Minecraft, Zelda, Secret of Mana, Monster Hunter, Diablo, World of Warcraft etc. The aim was to create an infinite, colorful, procedurally generated world, full of adventures, monsters, and mysteries. Cube World, a voxel-based role-playing game.
It looks like you can start playing it:

Re: Cube world - Infinite procedurally generated RPG
Looks interesting. I've tried to register so I could buy but it looks like server is under maintenance and user registrations are disabled at the moment.
Have you played this game yet? It sounds good on paper but am curious how the experience in-game truly is.

Early Spring - 1055: Well, I made it to Boatmurdered, and my initial impressions can be set forth in three words: What. The. F*ck.
Re: Cube world - Infinite procedurally generated RPG
Are there any quests in this? Any overall objective?
I mean, it looks good, and the idea behind it looks great as well, but is it just sandbox?

It looks like there are an infinite amount of quests. You can take on missions to defeat huge boss monsters etc.DWMagus wrote:Are there any quests in this? Any overall objective?

Re: Cube world - Infinite procedurally generated RPG
We can always count on you Sky to provide a gameplay video. Very helpful.
It looks like it has a ton of potential, but it definitely still seems rough around the edges.
I *really* want this game to be successful though. I'll probably pick it up once their user registrations are open again.

Thanks for the let's play! You have a good voice for this!
I'm waiting for cubeworld until they support linux. I'd really love it if they would also support multiplayer.

It does have multiplayer, and I'm trying to get Rav to join me sometime. I'll also see if I can set us up a server sometime.

Of course, if you need dedicated hosting, I got some space too.

Re: Cube world - Infinite procedurally generated RPG
As of right now multiplayer is limited to four people per server, but it should increase greatly in the next few months. As for server hosting I don't have any server space nor the money to rent a dedicated server. If you have the extra space it would be greatly appreciated Magus.
The only limit is the one you set.

Re: Cube world - Infinite procedurally generated RPG
I bought it and played it for 2 hours. Haven't found any quests yet. But I've died. Too many times to count and I'm not even level-ed up yet.
