Rimworld! LTForums Edition

Postby Silverware » Mon Sep 21, 2015 3:25 am

Alright, so I decided (with a little help from the IRC) to play a game of RimWorld, either as a livestreamed let's play, or as a blow-by-blow journel.

But I want to do it with a cast of ten Forumites.

If you want to get in on this, it's simple:

Male or Female?
Thin, Fat, Bulky, Curvey?
Hair Color?
Attitude?

Then select your skills. You need to choose 4 interested skills, and 2 burning passion skills.
I am limiting all people to a maximum of 60 points to spend.
No skill can be above 12. Each skill costs 1 point to raise.
The skills are:

Shooting:
Melee:
Social:
Animals:
Medicine:
Cooking:
Construction:
Growing:
Mining:
Artistic:
Crafting:
Research:

Once that's done, I'll fit your character together, and give them some gear.
Then shoot all of them planetwards to die a slow death on the planet below!

I have two questions before I decide if I participate or not:

1) How the hell is the game going to be? :ghost:
2) How much will we write in our posts? :(

I wanted to try REKT but the amount of writing seems too much for me. Thank you! :)

This is going to be done oldschool community fortress style, right? With screenies and logs?

Quite literally you design your character, then just pop here when you want to read about what happened :V
I am not sure if I am going to do Livestreams, Youtubes, or Text updates. Most likely Youtube ones.

You just have to outlike the character with skills, and some description, like Talv just did. (Good one Talv)
And then I will drop them onto the Rimworld, and help them die faster survive.

Oh right. Not a forum game per se, but a normal RW game with some initial input from us. Cool! I'm in :)

I'll edit this post in a jiffy with "my" character
