War among us!

Some say it started out who owns what quadrant of space. Others say it was the culture difference in alien species that started the war. I believe it’s all about money. At the Galactic currency exchange they trade in thousands of different style currencies into credits so people like you and I can use across the galaxy. If you ever run into a pre-space travel civilization the only thing they have that is worth getting is Ultrium. Ultrium is the rarest from of mineral known to any race in this galaxy. They call it the “God seed”.
Think of it like your genes. But instead for organic use it is the Master blueprint for all material in the universe. If you find this microscopic Ultrium you can retire for the rest of your life. Scientist found a way to create any type of material with one strain of this stuff. They take matter and insert this gene and code the output. They can make gold, platinum, titanium by the tons with one strain before it is depleted.
How do I find one you may ask? You don’t! Unless you are already rich with the highest grade equipment in your ship that can detect this on planets. This is why I think this war started. To fight over planets and un-scanned sectors for this stuff.


The year is (insert year here) and the (insert faction here) is meeting with (insert other factions here) to propose a 50 year peace treaty to unite the factions together. This treaty is being held at (insert natural station here) at the galactic union. The peace talks last for almost 2 years and finally they came to a resolution that all factions can agree on.
Not too far away an unknown group has finished loading a cargo ship full of explosives and programed the computers to fly and dock in the (Insert natural station). The ship takes off on a mission of its own to destroy the station and all commanders and leader on their final hour.
The stations security is very large with outpost along each sector. The large cargo ship flies in and two gunner ships flew on the sides of the cargo ship. “This is Bravo 4 Charlie, Please identify yourself.” The cargo ship continues on its course. “Bravo 4 Charlie to the unidentified transport ship, this is your last warning, and you will be engaged and shot down. Identify yourself!”
“This is Transport Galilea from the union galactic trade, we have shipment for the station of water, food, and medical supplies.” The transport ship responded on the second threat. “Transport Galilea, you are not on the incoming ships records, you will need to turn your ship around immediately! We will open fire if……” Transmission broke off. The transport ship stayed on course. “Light it up boys!” the wing commander ordered the other gunners.
All gunships opened fire on the transport ship firing at it in every direction hitting the shields trying to break through them. “This is no normal transport ship. It is using Military grade shielding! Bravo 4 Charlie to galactic union we have an unknown transport ship heading your way with military grade shielding.” “This is Galactic union, we have been monitoring your activities and aware of the situation. We have target locked, keep your distance we will fire on the ship when it reaches range in 5……4…….3…..” at that moment a fleet jumped in firing at the station. Gunner ships from that unknown fleet in the thousands broke out in formation and starting tearing apart the Galactic union’s fleet on guard.
Back in the command deck of the galactic union station they issued an evacuation on the station. The council members of each faction started to leave in their ships. As each ship undocked they were destroyed one by one from this unknown fleet.
The unknown transport ship flew into an open dock and that was the last thing that took place on that dark day. They say the blast from that transport ship still echoes across the galaxy killing million from all factions. It is not really known who it was or why they wanted to stop this treaty among all factions. It is said that they ended the Great War on their own terms only to cause anarchy and chaos amongst them self’s with each faction.

This was 25 years ago now. The universe is not the same.
