Well, that escalated quickly.

Are these actual bots? Or humans paid (or forced) to spam links in as many sites as possible?

I can see forum software having some automation for dealing with the former, but I can't imagine it's possible to keep humans from dumping nonsense (short of disabling registrations entirely).

They're actual bots, not humans. Forum software isn't stopping it, thus, Taiya.

There are icons missing in the top right corner and under all the avitars,
also not shown are the missing icons on the main page next to all the topics
and categories.

If you're using Devravaio, N810, the icons at top right should now be visible. And quite crisp.

So...the bots are breaking reCaptcha? Or found an exploit to get around it...??

Yeah, they found a way to get around it. It was pretty strict to begin with, too. "click the squares that have signs" "now do it again" "and again" "okay I guess you're human"

No worries, though. Taiya is on the case.

Well, I increased the strictness to max. If they are getting around it, the reCaptcha solve is being farmed out to real people. Sadly Taiya is the only answer to that...

I think admin may have locked down the font folder to read only.

Well, I replaced the fonts with images, so it shouldn't be a problem. Are you sure you're using devravaio? And if so, did you do a cache reset?
