Like many others, I was not surprised of the delay. We could have seen it coming months ago !

I'm completely fine with it. I had to delay my phd defence, so in fact I'm glad Limit Theory won't be out before I have some spare time :D.

Josh, keep going but... Take a rest !! You are working way to hard, I deeply understand that LT is your little baby and you need to end it as soon as possible. Yet, maybe if you allow yourself a day off per week, as it was suggested, you would feel much better without delaying the release too far.

Now, I also agree with other members and I would say it like this : Mr Parnell is good... in fact : too good... He is perfectionist ! How many times have we read "I tweaked that because it doesn't appeal to me", "I spend some time to change the reflection on the thruster's bolt" (ok I am overstating).
The thing is: there will ALWAYS be something to improve, no matter how much work you put into this, there will always be new algorithms, new shaders or whatever techniques you could try. In french we have a saying : "Le mieux est l'ennemi du bien" which might be translated as "Better is worse than good".
Well I know I'm preaching to a converted, you said you'll focus on playability (but I also know you won't).
Now, go focus on things that really matter (collisions for instance  ).

(Not trying to be patronizing, I just want to participate to the conversation, so that my name doesn't get lost in the abyss of the forum).

May the abyss of the forums never be your fate, Diegetisor.

We are working hard to assemble a crack team of specialists to go in and rescue those who find themselves in such places. It's loosely based on International Rescue minus the strings. :)

BTW that level of patronizing wouldn't even register as far as Mr Parnell is concerned. ;)

I'm not sleeping much at the moment, Katawa. This insomnia is beginning to wear me down. :(

He's a game-hack crackerjack, and he's okay,
He works all night and he works all day.

More power to you Josh!
Don't burn out.

Curses, foiled again. I have no street cred whatsoever. :(
It is good to come home from work in the morning to a good hearty laugh, compliments of LT-forums. :D

WHAT?! A delay!? What for?! I demand LT to be released yesterday! And when I say yesterday, I mean 2 months ago!

Just kidding of course. A delay at this point is no surprise to me. And I'd rather play a complete game that Josh wants to play too, than have it rushed out the door. Consider this 'kickstarting "shareholder"' placated. Just, don't run out of money before you've finished the game, as that would suuuuuck. Also don't forget to enjoy the summer. Outside air is nice too every once in a while.

You need to do some posturing!

I had already suggested a fitting avatar image. =P

Odd. I still see a delete button. ;)

Try clearing your cache, your cookies, and maybe even re-install your browser. If that doesn't work, then you might have a virus.

You're a tech guy and you go to virus right away? lol
It seems to just be this thread, quite interesting.

I thought you were just leaving a smart-ass remark, so I responded as such. If it's an actual problem, then it's more than likely this specific subforum.

Just came back from an internet-less week - sad to hear the game's been delayed, but very understandable. Take your time Josh, take your time. ;)

You wound me, smart-ass remarks I make aren't worded poorly. I used the word reason twice in the same sentence with the same meaning. That's not very smart.

I reason it's reasonable to assume that there was a reason you used reason an unreasonable number of times.
