I had always thought the internet was real life, and we occasionally went about doing other less real things sometimes.

After many unexpected problems (including but not limited to a complete and total loss of internet, and a triple-day flight delay of sorts), I'm finally back home! Will give a longer update tomorrow; right now I'm absolutely exhausted.

Good News! For all those who find my interruptions extremely tiresome, I wish to inform you that I will be departing for at least two weeks of blissful retreat starting this weekend. The terms and conditions of said retreat contain a clause relating to internet access... there won't be any.

So you can party hard and not be bothered by my frequent ramblings here and on/in IRC.

Well, I personally like having you around, but enjoy your retreat!

I'd miss you terribly. Even 2 weeks without you will be emptier and my life will be a little bit dimmer. However, knowing that you're on a retreat, I wish you the best of all possible 2 week+ retreats, and I'll make due.

I really appreciate your words, Hyperion.

I go through this phase of considering making a permanent exit from this place on a regular basis. I may be seen by some as a gregarious individual but it doesn't come naturally. I am a recluse who just happens to be able to communicate in a manner that on most levels seems to be accepted by others. I burn out from time to time in this effort. I'm always at my worst during the month of January. These retreats allow me to recharge my system and aid me to regain a sense of balance.

Due to some motivational issues relating to my schoolwork, I will be limiting my participation for the next couple of months. I'll be absent on IRC for most or all of the time on IRC and I probably won't appear often on the forums.
However, I will still be doing ReKT. Don't take this as an invitation to kill Vynkor.

You've done an excellent job staying disappeared so far, Narwhalz.

On a different note: Victor ought to have been back by now, yes? I hope he's all right.

I've heard tell some of those retreats ain't what they seem. Victor's probably exhausted.

He popped into IRC just a little while ago. He's doing perfectly fine, and even upgraded his graphics card to a GTX 1080 (apparently 11GB, if I read correctly)

The GTX 1080 Ti, I presume - too much for me. The GTX 1070 Ti is on my wanted list though.
