Today has seen several hours of work go into Taiya. It's the first time in a while I've had some good spare time to use on coding, but I've added a good deal. Nothing worth writing a log for, unfortunately, but we're getting there!

It would be fun if we could have a daily scheduled game. Maybe I could make Saoirse do that...
Of course, then I'd also have to learn her how to play :ghost:

Doing bot stuff, this Taiya feature just popped into my head again. What's happening with this? I haven't been on the IRC for a while so forgive me if there was some sort of announcement there that I missed.

It works but people more or less stopped playing it as the new-ness wore off.

Oh, that's sad. Tal, how far did you get according to your progress bars that you set at the beginning of the project in terms of the writing?

I don't actually remember. I got the game fully functional. The only thing that would've been left to do would be add more random strings so things sounded "new" more often, and it was more customized to the game. No real gameplay changes. As Dino noted, people got tired of the game because 1. the newness wore off and 2. there were IRC limitations I couldn't get around. There wasn't much point in continuing to add superfluous text if nobody was going to play it anymore. It's been a long time since anyone touched it. It still works, though.
