There will be no cluttering as they will not post at all.
The purpose of the account is that Saoirse's page title function (in IRC) works correctly for pages you have to be logged in to see. And Taiya uses it to fetch the online users, again, in IRC.

Although, to be honest, as long as they don't post you don't actually have a way of knowing whether an account is a lurker or a human made scrapebot to start with. Half of our 1881 zero post users could be that, for all that you know. It's not like you notice.
And as for double accounting, nobody notices that either unless they make it obvious, in which case, intervene the first time it happens.

Just in case, Saoirse's account is set up to look like a regular lurker, so who doesn't visit IRC will be none the wiser.

Taiya, That first bot thing, and Saoirse all posted. They can have avatars. However, I think bots should have a different color name, just to be sure they are a bot. Pink for instance!

That doesn't actually work. Bots labeled as such are unable to see the online list or view member profiles - which are the main things Taiya is supposed to be able to do on the forums in the first place.
