Was raining...

One of my favourite photos from the event:

I rubbed on my screen trying to wipe away that "speck of dust" next to the moon. Really, really good picture, though.

I made some photos too. They're not all fantastic, but eh, little preparation.

I saw it too last night, round about nine-thirty. And at eleven-thirty, when I took out the trash before hitting the sack, the moon was so bright (white) it outshone the porchlights.
My mom told me about some silly nonsense with people thinking the world was ending (again). Seriously, you shake a blanket outside someone's window, or a cat poops loudly, and they think it's Armageddon.

In a little under 3 hours there's a total eclipse... in Indonesia. "Why do you tell us that, Dino, we don't live there" indeed, but Panasonic are streaming it live over here.

The eclipse has started, maximum in a bit over an hour. I'll rewatch tomorrow though, not planning on staying up until 1:55 AM

The Japanese Himawari-8 satellite made an awesome video of the eclipse going over the earth.

As many of you likely already know we had an eclipse yesterday. Although I'm located a bit north of where it occurred I was still able to get some nice images of the eclipse. What seemed to work best for viewing the event was the bottom of a store bought pie container with a pin hole in the middle of it.

Yesterday, Chuck Norris had a staring contest with the sun. He won.

Trump had one too, but he lost.

And the sun got to color his hair as a trophy.

I loved that picture. Just typical Trump to me. "What the scientists say is just all nonsense. You don't need no special glasses for this!"
And is it just me or does Melania always look like she has to force herself to smile?
