He will be naming two of the SpaceX ships in honour of the scifi writer Iain M. Banks and his Culture novels.
Ship names will be "Just Read the Instructions" and "Of Course I Still Love You".

Hmm, never having read the culture series or anything by Iain M Banks, I find it interesting that we share similar ideas for naming conventions for Spaceships... I also use it for sentient computers.... In a story of mine, a ship is named "Somewhere over the Rainbow" and another is called "A fistful of matches"...

I've always named ships more traditionally... although I've named dwarves things like "ForgetAboutTheBeerAlready" and "StartWorkingOrYoureZombieFood"...

I like this new naming theme. Names that are phrases are so much more fun.
