Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygéne 4

It was used mostly on television underscoring some of the - rather rare- science television programs on the single state TV channel here in Denmark.

I read all of the Foundation trilogy books by Isaac Asimov at age 11-12 listening to JMJ, Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode.
I have this and Equinox on vinyl. Both good albums.
Cowards die many times before their deaths, the valiant never taste of death but once. Of all the wonders that I have seen, it seem to me most strange, that men should fear, seeing that death, a necessary end, will come when it will come.

I discovered the Squalls when I was working door at the 40 Watt Club in early '86. While I was mostly into prog rock from the 70's, I instantly fell in love with this band. I have the EP this song is on as well as both full albums they recorded on vinyl. https://youtu.be/dxEyFFJtntE

This is their cover of The Grateful Dead's "Truckin" https://youtu.be/47DhXo9BGec
