In any case I get to deal with having the topics my roommate reads about permeate into my living space constantly. This results in a form of toxic waste in the end that I would hate to see here.

So I created the vs. vs. thread to stop (really just hoping) to prevent this in the first place.

I agree. Such threads are very divisive in communities. There is one community which has had its fair share of trouble due to such threads. No names mentioned but it has many aspiring citizens as members.

I think a few vs. threads wouldn't hurt.
