Re: Josh's Next Project

Duck: I don't feel that it was clear, hinted at maybe. (Definitely if you take into account the use of human body temp as power...) Neo sees the real world as code towards the end; he manages to stop machines in the real world; he travels between "the Matrix" and "the real world" without being plug...

Matrix's first movie is SciFi, the others could be either depending on your view. (if the "real world" was another layer of simulation then it's SciFi, not SciFa, as it was all in a computer)
The movies make it pretty clear that the "real world" is indeed another layer of simulation.

I also intend to continue wrapping return values in parentheses:

return(value);
I don't do this for single variables or values, but if I'm returning anything more complex I always wrap it in parentheses. It doesn't feel right to do

return i * 2;

and I have no idea why.

A pointer to what? Oh, a struct you say? So package up all the necessary data for a given type of operation, say, pathfinding and they write functions that operate on one or more data chunks? Hey look, you invented components!
And hey look, you can do it without an esoteric language!

Again, we are talking about a language which is targeted specifically towards experienced people who tend to write better code and make less mistakes so I'm kinda missing the point you guys are trying to prove there.
*make fewer mistakes

You must be a bad programmer.
