I do most of my coding in Google Docs or on the blank side of index cards. I've certainly gotten better at recognizing syntax errors by using such... adverse editors. I also do most of my coding with very simple programs and problems, so I don't often need the utilities a proper IDE affords.

I think an opinion ceases to be an opinion when it becomes testable.
Thus, "clouds are white" is not an opinion unless the definition of "cloud" or "white" is itself an opinion.
