Re: Progress Report

I'd say that 16 out of 26 items have been completed to a point where I'd be happy to see them launch today. So I'd say the game is about 62% finished if we were only looking at features without considering the back end code. As long as we continue to receive daily dev blogs and monthly videos I'm ha...

Re: Progress Report

Well if you look back at the really old dev and prototype vids he had a basic, working game. It had goals, upgrades, enemies, all the basics. Now he just has so much more. It really could be a (not great) finished product as is. I suspect Josh will start tying things together to be more cohesive an...

Re: Evolving Ships

I'm not a fan of the Yuuzhan Vong era. Killing Chewy in the first book of the series may also have something to do with it. Anyways, organic ships could be neat as long as they aren't a common occurrence. Also, I'm all for ships changing in appearance as systems are changed and updated. As long as t...

Re: Death in LT

I dislike Many Worlds theory because it changes the outcome of death without a safety net. In order to satisfy those who want permanent death there has to be a way to reset the character stats once the player has died. Many Worlds theory prevents this and leads to a unlimited re-spawn type of mecha...

Re: Better LT Polls?

To me it's a bit of a paradox. If you don't care then why are you voting in the first place? Because voting means that you care. :problem: Because knowing someone doesn't care is important. Otherwise you don't know if someone doesn't think the poll matters to them, or if they weren't aware o...

Re: Death in LT

Wouldn't it still be a good option to start a new character in the same universe, even in permadeath mode? From my understanding of "pure permanent death" mode the universe is deleted at the time of the player's death. Unless the X series did it differently this is what I'm going off of. Yeah, look...
