I fill my little cargo bay until it's bursting, when I pull up the jump drive map I can click on the place I'm suppose to go to but it just opens a blank map, I guess i'm suppose to go to the place first before I can use my jump drive? But if that is the case it kind of defeats the purpose of gettin...
I needed something to hold me over until the beta of LT came out, but didn't want to spend a bunch of money on it. Saw X3 Reunion for about $10 on steam so figured I'd give it a shot. Seemed people liked it over the latest X game. Am I the only one that has found the story line to be pretty much imp...
hmmmm, I was extremely disappointed with the game when it first came out, I tried it again earlier this year but found not much had changed. Going off of what you said it looks like you were in the same boat as me. If it was this interesting to you to go back to it I will have to give it a try again...
Loved Titan AE and the ice fields, if implemented like that, could be a lot of fun, at least for fighters in the middle of battle  Agreed! I loved the sound effects and just the look of the ice chunks! Now Josh, i don't expect an exact replication of Titan AE but I do want the ability to make ...
Sooooooo cool!!!!! Love the idea of being able to manually go around a scan the surrounding area. Not sure how it would work out but it would be pretty cool to be able to mark down certain signal types ourselves also. Sort of like if I see a wormhole that's hidden when I find it with the sensor I ca...
You've heard this a thousand times already but it's totally cool. Not like we can say you have been slacking on this game with your 12 hour or more a day / 7 day a week work schedule you have been doing pretty much the entire year you have been working on it. We know you have been working hard, just...
Sorry, at the time of that posting I had been awake for about 30 minutes with no coffee...my bad...I wasn't really paying attention to what I was writing. I know the command interface is going to be implemented and the such, I just forgot that you could switch from the holo view...which is awesome.....
Command interface certainly fits the bill, especially because you don't have to use the holographic effect, you can view everything with normal textures. For example, in that video, at 21m38s , Josh watches his ships engage in battle via the command interface, even though his personal fighter is pa...
I was out of he gaming community for a while and the only space sim I still have around is Freelancer. I had to pull it out when I supported the Kickstarter campaign for Limit Theory just to feed the craving for an awesome space sim that almost overwhelmed me :D One of my all time favorite games tha...
Thought bubble, feel free to yell at me if this has already been discussed, I did try searching already :P I was thinking about the cool big space battles I'm going to be happily being a part of and thought how neat would it be to be able to view the battle in a sort of free camera mode. I know that...
wellllll....thanks a lot Josh....now I'm going to have to buy an Oculus Rift that i can't afford.... :P dear lord do I love that interface, especially with the 3d map of the universe...reminds me of...I think it was Privateer 2 that had a 3d map kind of sort of like that but not nearly as fantastic ...
haha, gotcha :D , to be honest, I haven't put that much thought into it. I seriously came up with the antimatter weapon one day then started this thread shortly after to see how realistic it would be. I know it's scifi and it doesn't necessarily have to follow actual science but I don't want it to b...
Also, your idea sounds pretty interesting and I'd like to hear more about it. :) If you are talking about my story I hope to soon start actually getting my thoughts together on paper and finally writing it. There are scenes that are going to be in it that have played over and over again in my head ...
