Re: The End

I wanted to post so many wonderful and heart-felt words of encouragement but I could never find the perfect ones to say. :( I just want to buy the guy some delicious food and have lunch with him. Maybe ask him if he'd play some Terraria with me. You just don't do that sort of stuff with someone you'...

Re: Underworld Ascendant

Oh my god. Oh my god. I hate to be a pessimist, as I was an extremely enthusiastic fan of both original Ultima Underworlds, (Rest assured, I am dramatically under-exaggerating that statement. If there was merchandise, I would eat it. You are what you eat, after all. Sorry, got a little carried away ...

Re: No Man's Sky

I'll be a ton happier when they implement random things on planets like ruins or civilizations to give people reasons to explore them. I mean I don't own the game and I've never played it, but if I keep hearing that everything looks the same in terms of planets, why should I even play? What motivati...

Re: Chasm - A Procedurally Generated Metroidvania

So I've been playing the "It may as well be the released version" Beta, helping the developer, James, look for additional bugs (And not finding a single one. :D ) and I do have to say that the game is rock solid so far. As an avid fan of the Metroidvania genre, I am having an absolute blast going ba...

Re: Chasm - A Procedurally Generated Metroidvania

ShadowTiger!!! :D I haven't seen you in forever! I hope you're doing well! :) Talvieno! https://i.imgur.com/Q9SQE7D.png Always a pleasure! Such a charming and delightful reaction to come back! I'm a very happy nobody-in-particular right now, thanks to such a greeting. Oh my. I'm always lurking abou...

Chasm - A Procedurally Generated Metroidvania

I backed this game on Kickstarter in 2013 because I absolutely love the "Metroidvania" genre of games, and I have to say, they've been one of the more reliable groups in terms of production that I've seen. They're delivering a beautiful, polished product within a reasonable amount of time, and have ...

Re: Terraria.

Yes, that is not incorrect. A bit too not incorrect, really. There was a point where the Nurse walked up to the Guide and repeatedly threw syringes at him but kept hitting the desk, and I somewhat literally never heard the end of that. Whenever I went back to base, I'd just hear "Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap....

Re: Terraria.

With incremental changes, it's not as much of a shocker as it is going from, say, 1.1 to 1.3. It's crazy how much stuff there is. I don't even know how to begin summarizing the changes.

NPCs can adequately defend themselves against attacking invasions now. It's the best thing.

Re: Underrail

Oh. Oh! Wow ! This again! I didn't think I'd see or hear from this game again. I played it a few years ago. It was pretty engrossing. It really does feel like a Fallout 1 or 2 game. Absolutely. The graphics feel a bit more crude, but there's definitely a lot of good stuff happening under the hood. D...

Terraria.

Terraria's 1.3 update is less than 48 hours away. I am literally shaking in my clothing with anticipation. I have over 1,180 hours invested into the game, and that's not counting mods. I wouldn't even dare to imagine how many hours I have played with the mods on. Egads. But we all have those games w...

Re: Dishonored 2

(Everything) Ooff. This is a really good point, the everything there. Yes. Whenever I have the opportunity to buy an upgrade, I generally tend to "fix a hole" in my own personal flaw that would make things that should be easier easier, but hopefully not less fun. A few actions took a little bit too...
