Re: Skyrim

I seem to be hearing that Skyrim is mostly a quest and exploration game. Is this basically all there is in Skyrim and the other games in the series? A good story is nice but it doesn't seem to have a lot of replay value for me. It's the same way with exploration for me. I might go and see the sight...

Re: Should mods be free?

Eh go listen to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aavBAplp5A for some feed back from a guy who wrote one of the biggest skyrim mods and the guy who runs the Nexus modding site. This "conversation" is a farce. TB doesn't know anything or care about the modding community for Skyrim, Brumbek admits tha...

Re: Skyrim

Yeah, after this I'm switching to Imgur. To avoid any more unpleasant surprises in the future regarding hotlinking, this works for everyone, correct? (You might have guessed that it's been a while since I last used real image hosts, as opposed to 4chan and forum file attachments.) http://i.imgur.com...

Re: Skyrim

I see the problem. Those image links lead to http://postimg.org/image/ko68ybes1/ which is a webpage, not an image. If I do "Open image in new tab" from there I get http://s16.postimg.org/l0xn4hx1v/TESV_2014_12_31_14_52_48_64.jpg http://s16.postimg.org/l0xn4hx1v/TESV_2014_12_31_14_52_48_64.jpg Which...

Re: Skyrim

Usually sites that don't like hotlinking will instead display an image complaining about it, but maybe PostImage does it more subtly (or maybe their hotlinking is just broken). I'm not sure what you've done (I use Postimage myself without these problems), but somehow on most images you're linking t...

Re: Skyrim

i dont want to feel you bad, but, your images are broken :/ That's weird, they look fine to me in both Firefox and IE. It could be because I'm hotlinking directly to the full images rather than using the preview code given, which just displays a thumbnail linking to the image page: http://s17.posti...

Re: Skyrim

I was inspired by Talvieno's post and decided to take a crack at documenting my own adventures in Skyrim. I'll start with Dawnguard and actually follow it through (easier said than done in a game with so much to do, of course). I'm also using cinematic shots and gratuitous posing, since those are al...

Re: Skyrim

I naturally tend to play as myself, even down to knowledge from playing previous characters. I don't really like trying to act based on what my character "should" know since it feels like I'm needlessly restricting myself, and I prefer to choose dialogue options that reflect my actual opinions rathe...

Re: Should mods be free?

[...] As mentioned in the OP, donate buttons wont cut it from what I have read from Skyrim modders, its a nice gesture and gets a bit of revenue, but not the level to attract indie devs to switch to providing top quality content in LT. And yet there's plenty of outstanding mods for Skyrim - armor a...
