Re: The "Game" in LT

Better to come back in a year. Beta is still quite a ways away. Things are just at the point of getting re-implemented so I would suspect it will take a few months until the game is back in the state it was during the time of the Road to Beta updates. I do hope things progress more quickly now that ...

Re: How Happy Are You

I'm quickly approaching 4 years here with this community. I still believe that this community is by far one of the most civil groups on the internet. I have enjoyed debating with you all, expressing ideas and hearing alternate perspectives. Even if LT doesn't end up implementing the ideas and flushe...

Re: Dynamic Destruction

That would work. If the goal wasnt rip ships in half with strong lasers! Just generic indents on the hull are comparatively easy. Cutting into/apart ships along precise enough borders isnt Yep I agree, thanks for the explanation Cornflakes. I'd be perfectly happy with race car level damage in LT wi...

As to cockpits being targetable, I'm not actually sure that's going to happen. It would make it considerably easier to kill enemies - and you! You have to remember that if you can do something, the enemy can do it, too. Getting your cockpit lasered before you're even within gun range would cause a ...

Re: Star Citizen

I'm watching the last Around the Verse episode, and that mobiGlas gadget must be one of my favorites things about this game so far, alongside big scale moons and planets. Glad of the direction this game is taking. It's exceeding my expectations, as I knew it would. Yeah, Mobi Glass is loo...

Re: The "Game" in LT

When then we talk about many aspects of balancing, such as pacing and NPC strengths and tradeoffs, I suspect we're meaning "What should be the default pacing in the default settings". We don't want to forcibly impose our own ideas on all future players, but more come to a sense of what would feel t...
